This fantastic optional trip extension allows our guests the opportunity to participate in the care of rescued river mammals, which may include manatees, river otters, or river dolphins. In addition, we will visit a local butterfly park and also get a tour of the famous Belen Market of Iquitos

Mid Morning: ACOBIA Aquatic Mammal Rehabilitation Center
ACOBIA is a local grassroots organization that rescues and rehabilitates aquatic mammals (manatees, dolphins, river otters) that are endangered in the river systems of the Amazon basin. Furthermore, they educate the local people on the benefits of conservation and protection of aquatic rainforest mammals.
